Thanks Sash, I'll put you on the christmas card list this year. ;)

A quick rough diagram of all houses + townhouses within 7km of the GPO in Adelaide. There will be a couple of ones incorrectly categorised (the CBD ones for instance), but there's still a few cheapies in that range.

The VAST majority 400k properties will be just outside of that range.

Both are good options and where about 80% of my clients are looking at the moment.

6 to 12 months ago I recall posting about the lack of infrastructure projects in the pipeline in Adelaide. Can any locals comment on large projects that are likely to have a positive impact on employment in the region? I would love invest there, but last time I looked I was concerned with poor employment and lack of large projects.

@JDP1 my god. Next you will be wearing a blue jersey at origin. Mate. :)

Agree @D.T. knows Adelaide and I'd get him to manage a property in Adelaide. I like his posts and manner.

But. Consider Brisbane you are not going to be inner city but you are going to have land and that's important. 600m2 in Strathpine with side access. Perhaps a little closer if you hunt around.
Brisbane has one heck of a lot of infrastructure coming online and it's the third biggest city and then you throw your granny flat on the back of that house in Strathpine.

Geez, how nice would it be to get a house in Camp Hill or Mt Gravatt for that kind of money?!
