Yeah, people complain when they nearly stop in peak hour on the parkway.

Yes similar in many ways. Best thing I saw was a family of 4 plus a dog all on a small scooter

I went to Adelaide once. Decided to get in the car and drive through the city til we found something to do.. Drove around for an hour and ended up back at the hotel in Glenelg lol Adelaide is so boring. Wouldn't go there again

A family member told me before I went there for the first time that " you wont even see a dead dog laying on the street after 4pm". lol

Match and raise Sao Paulo Brasil - watching the moto boys on the motorcycles zoom between the stopped traffic is an experience.

Every time I return to Sydney it feels like a country town :)

So you stopped in at the central markets taking in the scents and sights, strolled through the botanic gardens and took a free hire bike along the Torrens, perused the galleries and museums, fed the animals at the Zoo, did some taste testing at the national wine centre, took in a show at the Festival Centre, stopped for reflection at the war memorial, took the obligatory selfie with the malls balls and sitting on the Rundle Mall pigs, and all in the space of 30 seconds?! Impressive.

Yes you can drive through the Adelaide CBD quickly, that's what comes from having a planned city and fewer people, it's a good thing in my eyes :)

I find that comment surprising.... I've always found Adelaide a bit of a dogs breakfast when it comes to traffic etc
Never considered it to have had much planning at all.
I say that living in Canberra, which is a planned city, with fewer ppl

Haha. The most interesting thing is that Glenelg backwards is Glenelg. Wow.
And there's lots of churches. Oh and it's the serial killer capital apparently?

Doesn't sound so bad to me then.
I remember a weird thing about what they call schooners or pots or pints? A pint should be 600ml anywhere?

Im originally from WA where there's a middy and a pint, here there's a schooner and a pint, in ACT the schooner is the bigger one i think. Every state is different

Some pubs around SA still do butchers (200ml), not many of them left though it seems.

What is classed as a pint in SA is called a schooner everywhere else, and an imperial pint in SA is a pint elsewhere.

Adelaide is just a mini melbourne. Very similar layout, character but a lot lot smaller, less development, more australian. I guess it's probably the only main city in aus where you could still get the aussie dream big block of house at affordable price.
