I've lived in Perth and adelaide. Perth is definitely more modern, but adelaide has better cost of living, more character, less traffic.

I'm glad Henley Beach got a mention, I've lived in that suburb before and loved it there. It has a very happy feel about it.

Old news :p (article from Jan). I think Adelaide's a great place to live for all those who love the Australian way of life, but don't want the hassle of having to live in a city with millions of other people on your doorstep and cramming onto your roads or the inconvenience of living rural and having limited facilities and activities.

It's cheap and close enough to fly to other Australian cities for holidays.

I quite liked Brisbane last time I was there. Not too quiet and not too busy. Roads seem fast. Restaurants affordable. Even Canberra roads seemed good and very convenient.

You must have only driven the 100m of Canberra that doesn't have any roundabouts :p

That's great, good publicity for Australia.

Perth was on the New York Times list last year, my daughter was studying at the time and sent me the link as it highlighted our suburb, sort of weird. Great stuff:)

About time we Perth and Adelaide trumped Sydney and Melb:p

It's pretty well laid out as a "planned" City, large green spaces between different areas, traffic flows pretty well.

You can not be serious.................

Try using the Pacific motorway at peak on a weekday or using the Bruce Hwy back from Sunshine Coast on a Sunday afternoon!!

if Adelaide can get in that report, then it'll be only a few more years before Druitt is featured prominently on the front page.:p:D
