We have decided to move to Tassie and are on the lookout for a quarter acre+ block of fertile dirt within 1 hour of Hobart. Our intention is to build a garden and live off the vegetable patch as much as possible. The classic Green Acres paradigm. We are a bit tough to satisfy and are wanting something in a quiet scenic area as well as a price which is still on the planet. I am hoping the forum might be able to come with suggestions of where and maybe the right agents to contact for this as I understand good properties are often sold before or on the day they hit the market. Thanks in anticipation guys. Let's see if we can join you in God's country.
If you haven't the Huon Valley would be great as it is a big farming region. Super affordable and close to the city (half an hour).
Hi Legallybonde, What do you think of buying a lot in Middleton, such as the one below? 277 Esplanade Road Middleton Tas 7163 - Residential Land for Sale #201980606 - realestate.com.au considering distance to Hobart, Huon valley ones seem to be better value for money? thanks and regards, fullrun
The entire channel is gorgeous. Huon is def cheaper though. South of Kettering area is a gorgeous drive too. Not many comparable sales though. I only follow the city side of the channel though.
