I use Dene Kilpatrick in town at Cooks Hill Consultancy. Have so for a few years for SMSF and personal tax returns and tax advice.

Any recommendations for an accountant in Newie that would be able to provide advise on property investment?

That would be more in the realm of a Financial Planner I'd think.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. Every financial planner I have spoken to has basically said "spend less, save more, pay off bad debt first". Any time I've asked a broker about strategy, the response has been "I can't give advice". Whenever I've asked an accountant about what can I do, they have sad "you can do whatever you want".

Do I need to get all parties in a room at the same time to actually get a result?

    Cheers,
    Inertia.

Pretty much, unless you can get a broker with a FP license, and there are a few of them around.

What sort of advice are you after? This forum is full of great conversations, a great learning tool, although not usually to be taken as advice. The more you learn on your own, the better you can gauge professional advice and whether its worth paying for.
