Hi everyone. So we are about 6-8 months from purchasing our next investment. The next 3 months i'll be going through this site top to bottom, reading lots of books suggested. I already have a broker, i'm after recommendations for accountants who specialises in property. Idealy someone who invests in property themselves. Cheers Jb
Does a Doctor with cancer make a better doctor to treat cancer ? IMO your accountant can have a completely different view to property v's you. I see a lot of different people and different strategies. incl high leverage, cashflows, property locations, land tax issues and a diverse array of other differences. Their views arent wrong if I dont do that myself and my views are just my opinion. I argue broad experience in all forms of property relates taxes is key. And the ability to communicate.
Does it have to be a local? If not - hit up Paul above. I've never met him in person but he's provided me with some solid advice and has worked with a number of my clients. Cheers Jamie
I have never seen most clients but welcome calls and emails etc and try to be responsive. The days of face to face meetings is very old school and combined with road traffic its such a waste of clients valuable time. That said I definitely welcome those who want to meet but we have designed our practice for all the interstate, overseas and non-local clients we service. Our IT systems are designed around clients being remote. Even me being remote too !! Yet we have some of the most sophisticated mechanisms to protect client identity. Multiple server redundancies and all cloud supported with extensive layers of security. If the office burns down we lose NOTHING. I can be back up and running in minutes. If someone breaks in there is nothing to steal except some PCs. They contain NO data. A major law enforcement agency use the same site. We have a secure client portal with doc upload, download that integrates with all our files. We offer "click to sign" signing of tax returns so no printers or scans or fancy PDF signatures are needed. All compliant with Commonwealth Gov requirements. And accessable 24/7 from any internet enabled device. The way ahead is us finding way to reduce time in doing our work and being more accessable to clients when they need it.
Hi There I am also in the same boat, looking for investing in the second property , would you mind catching up with me and my partner.
Technology these days means you shouldnt be restricted to location. Just finished advice for a client living in New York with australian property. Im not anything special to look at so face to face wont turn you on in anyway
I use Nick from PBS Partners in Black Forest for my business, investment property and personal stuff. Tell him I sent you. See PBS Accountants for website.
