accepted an offer then higher one came in

    Didn't mean to offend at all. Just that I thought you were saying you somehow were beaten by a higher offer on a signed contract. If you'd signed as purchaser but it wasn't yet signed by the vendor, then it isn't a "contract", ie. no guarantee at all you've bought it. Taking 12 days to get an answer from a vendor is terrible and goodness knows what sort of dealings could be taking place in that time.

    Maybe it was the way I worded it, Radelaide English :D
    Delays in vendor getting back to us have been quite common, I think sometimes the agents are not right on the ball either or they are waiting to see if another offer comes in.
