    I noticed that some of the reviews posted are for rentals that occurred more than 5 years ago! Once example was for a rental in 2010 with the review posted in 2015.

    How can that be appropriate? - particularly if ownership or management of the property has changed in that time.

    I wonder what sort of vetting they do of the reviews to ensure accuracy.

    On the whole I think a review website is a good thing for tenants; but if you can't ensure the accuracy of the reviews, then the benefit to tenants will also go down. There should be a "verified" option like in the case of purchase reviews. And in the case of purchase reviews (amazon, ebay, tripadvisor, etc) there's usually scope for the seller to explain their position.
