This year I want to go to a real accountant to do my taxation rather than the tax agent I have been seeing.
Questions is does the accountant still have access to my bank accounts and share details like the tax agent ?
I didn't give him access he just looks up on his computer and it tells him how much interest I earns etc and how much share dividends I got .

Yes. If you appoint an accountant as tax agent they can see your details direct from the ATO.

Your former tax agent will lose access.
