Amazing! Reminds me of the movie 'Richie Rich' who had a water slide from his bedroom to the pool. I wouldn't mind that!

Hmm wouldn't work for me. Would be hard to balance cocktail glasses full of long island ice tea as I whiz down that slide.

Latest home improvement. I put basic Ikea Sisal carpet runners down the stairs of my home. Reason being, the stairs are sandstone and every now and then I'd scrape the back of my heel against the riser in the morning while walking down (home office is downstairs). Not the best start to my day.
Let's say the proof of concept is working. It's very much a hack job atm. Anybody got links/info to make it better?

View under carpet so you can see about the risers not being heel friendly 20220202_123353.jpg
View from bottom. Ignore the very average lighting.

You're definitely going to need to at the very least glue it down otherwise that slide you linked is going to become a reality and you will have a very bruised coccyx bone to remind you.

It looks like an accident waiting to happen.

I’d remove it and enjoy those stunning stairs. Maybe glue a piece of carpet to your heels? :D:p

Put a slide there instead. You just need to go outside to walk back up again. :D

Haha. I'm more likely to get a power tool and grind the risers to be smooth!!

Another riser shot showing how "evil" it can be for your heels.

Pic 1. Bad unicycling pedal accident.
Pic 2. Pole, tissue, hammock or lyra. Pick any.
