I know Brisbane isn’t an auction city but many of this forum readers would love to see today’s auction clearance rate.

In Melbourne or Sydney this would be considered a bad clearance rate. As you said, Brisbane isn’t an auction city therefore I wouldn’t read too much into that.

    Interesting to see.

It is opposite to my experience yesterday though, I attended an auction in Kedron and there were only 4 parties there. Me, another interested couple, a nosy neighbour and the owners.

8 withdrawn from auction. Sydney withdrawn and not reported numbers are getting scary on the other hand.

I think it’s the trend we are interested in. Sydney clearance rates are trending down while Brisbane seems to have picked up.

When we say ‘Brisbane isn’t an auction city’, what it really means is that most of Brisbane market has not been hot enough for sellers to take properties to auctions. However, there are still many parts of Brisbane that have regular auctions so it’s definitely a very encouraging number for those suburbs (mainly 7 km inner ring).

I don’t know what this number means for Logan or other outer areas but inner ring is super hot right now and that’s also been the feedback from people on the ground.

    Domain figures.

Sydney and Melbourne both cleared 66% preliminary.

Sydney and Melbourne not Vic and nsw.
