Targets? Why on earth would I set targets for something that is completely out of my control? :p

All I have right now are hopes and wishes and dreams.

@Hodge to give more explanation to my rather sarcastic response before, I just wanted to point out that there is unfortunately no direct correlation between post volumes and member registrations - and the amount of revenue that can be generated.

Traffic is good (better than I had hoped), but the site is still too young to take advantage of it - we aren't getting much search engine traffic yet (about 2% of what Somersoft gets and 80% of Somersoft's traffic was from search engines) because it takes time to rank well in Google.

@Simon Hampel all good and all is forgiven :p

However the incident in the chat room still plays on my mind!

That's what I was thinking - feels like it's been around for longer than a couple of months.

    Cheers

NOOO, it means the older content will be lost.
Just stick a rel canonical on the high search traffic page, not nice but better than redirect

@Simon Hampel maybe a link to property chat on the very top box on Somersoft forum? The box that link to End of an Era. Additional sentence linking to the new community PropertyChat

I don't own the site - have to be careful how I do things.

There are already links to PropertyChat on the site and the vast majority of our referral traffic comes from Somersoft.

The whole "archival" process hasn't been completed yet - there's still a bit of work to do to get things finalised.
