    Some of that list reminds me of Francis Bacon, who famously said "Reading maketh a full man, writing an exact man and conference a ready man..."

    Mum embroidered that to go on Dad's study wall so I associate it with all the books therein. And with my childhood in general.

    Bacon was a great thinker and very ambitious throughout his life!

    Many great people I know have just ONE quality, and that transforms their lives and those they interact with.

    At least there are no stoner-slackers on that list and i would not want 0.00001 percent of their weekly work schedule..

    Listener - Everyone wants to be a great speaker but how many people strive to be excellent listeners. People who listen succeed in life because they are able to hear and understand the needs of other people and to focus their energy on meeting those needs. The fastest way to be a good conversationalist is to listen well and ask questions.

    That's impossible.

    99.9% of people who achieve anything great and worthwhile in life will have many of those qualities. It's like saying you have no muscles while you're bench pressing 200kg:rolleyes: :p

    Well, I was going to say the same about me....but then I re-read the qualities & realised that we BOTH have one of them. :p Great Company - we can keep each other company in our lack of qualities. :p:D:p

    Great article. To those who have posted so far I see similarities in you all despite your modesty. You are focused, determined and just make it happen.

    An impressive and actually quite agreeable list.
    Personally may know about two people that match most of those qualities on that list.
    Both still feel unfulfilled... with at least $XXXM worth, continuing to build billion $ empires.
    Very interesting and easy to understand but very much harder to implement and to do in life, indeed!

    I think the problem is many people think the more wealth they have the happier they'll be. It's a great misconception.

    Working on building wealth is one thing.

    Working on living a happy and fulfilling life is entirely different. That has nothing to do with money.

    Spot on, but many will not understand until they themselves get there....
    Hence wealth to me personally encompasses many aspects, finances or money is just one part of this wealth equation.

    But, I like this;
