    Hi

I’m looking for ideas for a second job. It’ll just be for a little while to help while I’m trying to sell my unit.

Just maybe 1 night pw and a shift on the weekend. 10 hours pw

Also how easy is it to find a second job?

Anybody here got a business or know someone with a business looking for staff.

Only thing is I’m going to be s bit stressed at the moment as my (full time) job has moved location and I’ll be under new management. So I’m not sure if it’s the best time for me. But I need SANF and to know I’ve got a bit extra income coming in will help ease the pressure.

Maybe there’s some openings in fast food. I see a few oldies working at those places

Also I have heaps of long service leave. I could always do extra shifts when on LSL

Yeah I know it’s not old. Just mentioning it because I know some places like to take teenagers.

Actually sometimes you can get a job because of who you know. I’m thinking I could ask some young ones in the sports team I play and also maybe their parents have a business I could work at too.

    Oh I had an idea

I’ll get into the goal umpiring again!

I did boundary umpiring one year and I enjoyed that. Cash in hand too.

$60 per game and you can umpire 3 games per week.

AIN in aged care or disability support worker. Invest a short period of time to get the certificate and the amount of work available is endless 24/7. I know people who have no uni degrees, just got some certs in aged care and disability support as well some blood courses and the are raking in the money 24/7 and have multiple props. They earn upto 150k PA. Total flexibility.

They get paid to take clients to Lunar park, the cinemas and ice skating and sleeping 10 hours, help them cook, shop etc. Not to mention penalty rates. All you need is a decent brain, common sense and some empathy.

Health is it buddy. Most don't realize the amount of money so many workers are raking in with very minimal formal education. The gov really splashes endless amounts of moolah on health. Ppl just are unaware.

Now if you reeeeealy want to rake in the moolah.. Mental Health support worker, Psychiatric clinician RN or midwife. But they generally require 3-5 years training. They are very qualified. But the moolah is there. Many on 200kpa

I looked into that. Nope I need my 8-9 hours sleep or I don’t function

I’m gonna get back into goal umpiring. I just hope it’s not too late in the season to get a job.

Not sure what 10 hours per week would pay in cash or taxed ,but you could just look around your house and anything you don't use anymore just sell it off on gumtree ebay ect..I don't think another job will help .
Over 40-60 is only the start..

If you are already over stressed with your job and IP sale, I wonder if adding even more stress with a second job would be the right move.

You have mentioned cashing out all your LSL, maybe just cash out enough to cover your expected shortfall and dont add more stress to your life when you appear not to be coping as it is

This is a good one.. Pays alright for the type of work too. Provided you can stay awake late at night.

It's a very satisfying job. The pay isn't quite so good though. Even doubling the pay wouldn't make much of a difference.

Yeah I'm not sure why you get paid less than the others, you should take that up with Sim. Maybe he's playing favourites?
