    The couples words not mine.

I am surprised that no one else has mentioned this. Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer and local property developer spend to expense in upsetting his neighbours when flashing the cash for his nuptials.

Fleet of luxury cars, arriving in a helicopter and police needing to step in for crowd control.

    What a muppet.

I think the cops are sending him an invoice for the cost of the road blockade.

Hope the marriage lasts a few years.

Interesting they delayed the wedding so that the father could attend. Hate to be a resident in that council.

    @neK

    Money is obvious reason.

Family owned part of John St that was developed in to multi story apartments over last few years.

Being middle Eastern heritage, he would have mates in building industry. Sam him self is licenced builder.

I think ppl, especially media is over reacting. There is lot more that happens around auburn that stops traffic most days.

He is flamboyant, that's 100% true.

It was thei r wedding day and they caused bit of trouble...media should really get over it!

    But

Extravaganza wedding, rich boy from western suburbs, Ferrari, etc words sells printed and online media well...so this one will be in headlines for few days!

His "Must See" Wedding Video

A month before the big day, Mr Mehajer employed a cinematographer, an assistant, a sound engineer and a narrator. The team spent at least 15 hours filming at locations such as Sydney University and the Opera House. The editor laboured for a week.

The result? A two minute movie-trailer describing what happens when "a man who has it all" has his life "turned upside down".

The tale begins with Mr Mehajer as a young student, purple cap worn backwards. Across the lawn at Sydney University he spies a beautiful young woman: Aysha. Time freezes.

What gives this person and their company the right to inconvenience the public in such a way ? Publishing a story on this fool is just stroking their ego even further.

...or taste, but if he wants to celebrate his love (hopefully forever) and he has money, why not. He made his wife-to-be feeling really special and might be money well spend :D

By the way according to the Age they delayed the wedding until his father was freed from jail and could participate in the wedding...

My bet is they'll be divorced in 2 years. She'll realise he's a douche bag soon enough.

Actually he will be the one to dump her.
I know the type. As soon as another no brains gold digger wearing slightly higher heels and shorter skirt crosses his path, it's game over for his wife.
