Not in the same way though , gold is a defensive asset so you would expect it to do well on this situation . Also some shares will do well (supermarkets, toilet paper producers etc)

Yes, you can justify. Mostly they respond negatively. Not keen on getting on the detail.

Locusts are fine. It's the death of your firstborn you have to watch out for. After that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will ride up and sever your head, and then all the foreigners will return to their homeland and leave you in peace, whilst you shout "Where hath all the Uber drivers gone?"

Your nation will go into 40 Years of Darkness while the evacuating tribes will fight amongst themselves until none but Joshua and Caleb, Thurston and Lazarus will still be alive. A great flood will envelop the Earth. After that all day care centres will be run by Angels because above-mentioned Tribes will leave behind 144000 orphaned children. They will be fed on milk and honey but David will return to Graceland throwing off his tunic and dancing in the streets.

There will be much toing and froing, and henceforth more children wilt be born. Their names shalt be John, Paul, George and Ringo. Lady MacBeth wilt wash her hands daily but nothing will prepare her for the Governor-General. After much more toing and froing, the Tribes will settle down in the Promised Land under a rainbow banner and will joyously give thanks and marry their sheep. Oops, went a bit too far there. No more lambs will be barbecued, although Aldi and Costco will still remain open on Thursday nights and the onions will finally be on top again.

Two weeks working in a "keep 1.5 metres apart" high school did that.

Not much stock on the market where we are looking (inner to middle ring south side). Our plan for the year is unchanged - hold on to our jobs, save and if we find our ideal house/location in our budget then buy. We’re not trying to time the bottom of the market (not sure if we will even see much of a drop) ... will be buying once we can afford.

Maybe the title should be "
2020 is the Buyer's year for Brisbane!"

Just means the boom will be even bigger when we finally get a the inevitable tail wind minus the hurdles. Just hope you can all hang in there long enough.

Another 940 sales for QLD this week. Doesn’t sound like there’s much fear in the market at all

Maybe a realisation that Queensland is the best positioned state in the best positioned country to deal with Coronavirus.

Maybe also 2% interest rates and the huge price differential for Brisbane compared to infected Syd and Melbourne.
