We had a tipping comp on Somersoft last year which was won by @Nemo30 and prizes generously donated by @Corey Batt

It's on again this year! It'd be great if anyone interested in AFL could get involved, all around Australia.

To join, simply go to www.footytips.com.au and sign up a free profile, then join our comp. I called the comp propertychat and it has a password of propertychat all in lowercase. If anyone has any trouble feel free to sing out.

I've already sent out some invites to some of those who participated last time, but the bigger the participation the funner (yes thats a word) it is.

Hehe was good fun though... And I know very little about football. If I can win anyone can.

Just be aware - that if you get the invite from last year, it will take you back to the somersoft comp. You will need to manually find the new PC comp.

Well, at least I had to. But that could well have just been an ID10T issue.

And cheers for setting it up again DT.

I think I finished something like 3rd (I beat DT which was the main thing). So yeah, having any knowledge of the sport is not required to do well.

    Count me in.

Although my tipping, like my team, will be ok the first quarter of the season, below average the second, blinding the third, but leave this run too late to bow well out of the top 8 by crunch time.

    Go Lions. Sigh.

I didn't think I'd do too well last year as I know little about the teams.

There is a joker, which you can only use once which gives you double points.
I thought I'd be funny and use my joker at the start so that I would be leading, at least for a short time.

Turns out I picked the right week and got them all right and ended up leading all season - was great :)

What happens if you forget a week?
There should be a reasonable default selection. At least all home teams.

If you forget a week, as a default score you get the same as the worst performing member minus one.

I am in ..... Thank you for organising this.

The challenge for me is to keep up with all the AFL news/injuries to make my picks properly. I always start well then fell apart in mid season.

Maybe I should watch more Footy Show (AFL version) .....

joined. I'm involved in another comp where I like to fly under the radar using the alias, so just look for Tronald Dump and that'll be me!
