It would be full of racists, or people you could blame for being racist rather, even if they are not.

C'mon, our PC crippled country calling anything "white" lol

Someone would get triggered, and would demand the name was changed because they or some other group was offended, and so as not to marginalise some group or other.

A name change like "Harbord" to "Freshwater" made sense... it was effort but people could see the impact it made on property values. Blacktown could be called something to refect that its near the Hills District or Parramatta...
Bring on a boost to prices.

I lived in Blacktown when I was about 5 - started Grade 1 there, but moved to Melb not long after. It's been Blacktown for over 50 years that I know of; so why change it now?

Make it sound more exclusive and upmarket... could truly be a boost.

I had to think about Bill Shorten's comment about the budget needing to hit the millionaires not the battlers. Hmmmm. Has he turned on his own?

"...Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has delivered his response to the budget and called for a tax on high-income earners.

He said the Government was "taxing middle class and working class Australians and spending it on millionaires and multinationals"."
