    I've found @Leo2413 his new house. :D

The algorithm at OnTheHouse reckons that it's worth $5 million, but the house next door (the one with the grey roof to its left) fetched $15 million in late 2013.

23 Wilga Street, Bondi Beach, NSW 2026 - Property Details

Number 19 is on 538 square metres, whilst number 23 in on about 700 square metres, so that might make a difference. Then again, there's been four years of the latest Sydney boom between the two sales.

My partner and I were looking at that place for a reno and flip deal but decided against it due to the market risk.

In terms if living so close to the water...no way..you've seen what the salt will do to the house in no time ! :)

I can imagine that saltwater would eat the house in no time!

What do you reckon it'll go for? The $15 million that 23 fetched seems like a lot, but I really don't know the Bondi market.

Its really a specialised market within Bondi and given where we are with the cycle it makes it even more difficult to predict

    Thanks.

Of course, it'll probably sell for "contact agent for details" as with all these things. :D

That's about as bluechip as it gets. It will be interesting to see what it goes for.

You wouldn't want that cliff to erode!

Take a 15 mins drive to Point Piper where Frank Lowy and Turnbull live. It takes blue chip to a whole new level on Wolseley road. Most expensive place in Australia. ;)

The most interesting thing about those streets is that houses show nothing from the street, essentially brick wall and door. They are all orientated towards the habour.

You mean open ocean. Bondi faces the ocean.
It (how the house tries to remain hidden from the public and its ocean frontage) reminds me of Barbara Streisand's attempt to suppress pictures of her Malibu oceanfront mansion (the subsequent publicity massively outweighed the original attention and was dubbed the Streisand Effect)

Was referring to Point Piper rather than Bondi in that post.

I was looking at it as a cash-flow deal but just couldn't get it positive :)
