Last night we passed 100,000 posts and the day before we got to 3,500 members.

147 days (just under 5 months) since we launched.

Just to give some perspective to this:
    • March 2001 - Somersoft launched v2 (WebBoard) - no posts from v1 were migrated to v2
    • September 2002 (18 months) - migrated to vBulletin (Somersoft v3) - 25,864 posts were brought across from v2 but all members needed to register again (although I was able to match up some old accounts from v2 with the new v3 userids)
    • February 2003 (5 months after v3 launch) - we reached 1,000 registered users on Somersoft v3
    • May 2004 (38 months after v2 launch) - we reached 100,000 posts on Somersoft v3 (which includes v2 posts)
So to reach 100,000 posts on PropertyChat in under 5 months is pretty impressive - you really are a talkative bunch!

Thanks everyone for your continued support and enthusiasm for the site - the site would literally be nothing without all the contribution from our members!

I might put some charts together showing growth so far - just because I love stats.

The numbers you see in the "Forum Statistics" in the sidebar does not include deleted posts, nor does it include members who have registered but not yet validated their email address (there are an extra 100 or so members who haven't).

Does this compare accurately with the number off subscribers from each city?

I don't have an accurate breakdown of where each subscriber lives - but in my experience, these stats will generally follow population-distribution.

    For example: xkcd: Heatmap

However, I think there may also be localised factors coming into play with the data as well - we probably see an overly large representation of people from Sydney due to the recent boom here - and if Melbourne was going off, we might see a lot more traffic from south of the border.

It would be really interesting if we could get good data on property cycles and map it to various traffic trends on the forums to see how well they correlate.

    Screen resolution:

    2015-11-13_13-10-55.png

Wow - this one is surprising.

360x640 is not particularly high resolution - I assume that's an older model iPhone or something?

Lots of people still on 320x568 too !!

Actually - I just looked it up ... I'm seeing lots of Nokias and some SonyEricsson's @ 360x640

Apparently the 320x568 is an iPhone with retina screen quirk and 375x667 is iPhone 6 with high DPI.

Most of the other resolutions could be both mobile and desktop these days. My phone (Samsung Galaxy S6 with 5.1" screen) has the same resolution as my 27" Dell monitor on my desk (2560x1440)

I use Internode, which I believe is now included in the iinet figures?

My phone uses NodeMobile - which is Internode's mobile service using Optus as a wholesaler - I'm not sure which ISP that shows up as ... Optus Internet Pty Ltd is my guess.
