1 million to invest 44yo male looking at a growth strategy in property in melb

    Hi all,
    44yo male no dependents.
    Just sold PPOR hence cash.
    Zero debt.
    Work as a construction project manager pays payg 100k pa gross
    Additional income 45k gross pa army pension for life.
    Looking for a property growth investment strategy for next 50 years.
    Melbourne based. experience buying and selling property. but I’m a builder not so much a finance strategy person. So looking to bring this area up before this settles.
    Need advice on strategy for assembling loans and borrowing strategy.

    Hi BigDec, I would suggest starting by having a chat with a good mortgage broker - there are many who contribute to PC.

    A 50 year time horizon is a good idea, but you have to tackle it one property at a time. It's ultimately a game of credit and finance. So chat to a broker, and start that process first methinks.

    I'd also suggest a mortgage broker. Pick one from here. Most of them know more than an average broker as they deal with lots of investors.
